But Ruith hides many treacherous things that threaten to bring the Kingdom to its knees.
Until the Prince and his beastly curse are released.

A Beast So Beautiful Review:
“A Beast So Beautiful” is a gothic, grim representation of Beauty and the Beast, and I loved reading it!
What stood out for me in the story was the dynamic way in which the author wrote it. Whether it be the characters, pacing, or world-building, it is no surprise that the author wrote an intricate story. You feel so strongly towards the characters because of the details the author puts in their emotions. Leif is a fantastic protagonist and immediately captured my heart. My heart went out to Leif for the guilt he had to endure for his mother’s death. At the same time, he is keen to set things right, and I loved his determination. Similarly, I wanted to shake King Ivar for treating Leif so terribly. Even Avelyn and Astrid were memorable.
The author sets the suspense beautifully right from the beginning. From the scenes where they go to the woods to kill a bear to when he comes across the sorcerer guards, there is never a dull moment. There are also some creepy moments like when Leif goes to the dungeons, sees figures in the passageway, or saves the watchman. I also have to give credit to the author for the twists and turns. There is a twist in the end, which I did not expect, making the story memorable. The author also wrote the world grandeur, from the Frossen forest to the Weoh Mountains to the Tafel landscape.
Finally, the author also sets precedence for what we can expect in the next book of this duology, and I am excited about its release. Overall, “A Beast So Beautiful” is a stunning young adult fantasy retelling of one of my favorite stories, and I enjoyed it.
